In order to communicate with you in a timely manner, your healthcare provider may have obtained your consent to communicate with you via email. They may use your email to keep you informed of your referral appointments and/or send you information about online health care programs. The emails you receive may come from your healthcare provider and/or our participating partners of the online health care programs that may be third party service providers, such as Think Research.
When you receive an email about your referral appointment, you will find a link to the Care Portal page within the email, inviting you to learn more about Care Portal and register for an account.
If you are interested in creating an account, you can begin the registration process, where it will ask you to create a username and password. You will be prompted to read and accept the End User License Agreement in order to use the Care Portal. If you do not accept the terms of the agreement, then you cannot obtain a Care Portal account.
We take your privacy and consent seriously, you will not receive Care Portal- specific emails unless you register for an account. If you decide that you no longer want to receive Care Portal emails, then you can always “opt-out” of receiving email messages by going into the “Settings” section of your account, and then going to “Notifications”, you will find the ability to turn email notifications “on” and “off”.
If you no longer want to receive email notifications, then it is your responsibility to regularly check your Care Portal account for new messages/updates. Please note that your healthcare provider is not alerted if you choose not to receive email notifications.
