Clinical users: How to send the visit report to HRM

Note: Providers may need to contact Ontario MD (OMD) or the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) in order to successfully use HRM with VirtualCare.

As a clinical user, you have the ability to submit an appointment’s visit details to HRM (Ontario’s Health Report Manager). HRM electronically delivers text-based Medical Record reports (ex. Discharge Summary), and transcribed Diagnostic Imaging reports from sending facilities directly into patients’ chart, within the clinician’s EMR.

Once an appointment is complete (and displays a status of Complete), you are able to submit the visit’s details to HRM.

1. Click Visits.

2. In the list, locate and click the completed appointment you’d like to send to HRM.

3. At the top of the visit’s details screen, click View visit report.

4. A new window will open with a plain text version of all your visit’s details. Scroll to the bottom of the text and, when ready, click Send to HRM.
